Our Values

Love God.

We are unabashedly all about glorifying God. This is the primary mission of God’s church, and we see it as our first and most important ministry.

God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 3:10-11

Serve People.

We aren’t just thoughts and prayers, we’re hands and feet. We put action to the heart of compassion. We use our gifts and resources to serve the world around us.

Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Matthew 20:26-28

Make Disciples.

Salvation happens in a moment, but discipleship takes time and effort. We want to lead and guide those around us into a deeper relationship with God through intentional relational discipleship.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

What We Believe

Our Statement of Faith shares our core beliefs. This doesn’t mean you have to have these beliefs to attend. There’s room here for you to be on a journey. It simply states what we teach.

Meet our team

Pastor Josh and Kara Pyland share a strong passion for the church. They both grew up in Bend, OR, and served in ministry for years at their home church, Joy Church. Then, God called them to move to Colorado and plant Good News Church. Today they serve as the leaders of Good News Church.

Their daughter Emma and son Jude are along for the ride as well, and you will likely find them greeting at the doors or running through the church looking for a snack!

Together they are committed to seeing souls saved, lives healed, and people set free in Jesus’ name. They continue to seek God’s direction and leadership for their lives, their ministry, and their family.

It’s not the same without you!
